The heirs of the company paying sweat and hard work succeeded and created today, the famous cheese-making plant CHRISTAKIS S.A.

Each year the company, following the latest technology, is becoming more streamlined ensuring all information and conditions for the production and distribution of safe and quality products without any reduction in tradition and flavour.

This is why we pay special attention to raw material of milk which is fresh, without any addition or alteration, and comes from tested Greek breeds of sheep herds, which graze freely in the Greek countryside.

The CHRISTAKIS S.A. is a leading producer of cheese FETA P.D.O. in Greece and the leading production of MPATZOS P.D.O. cheese worldwide.

Factory

Our factory located in Proastio (Suburb) of Edessa, has modern automated line standardization and pasteurization of milk and modern automated production line of FETA P.D.O. that removes human error.

Also 3 large freezer, curing cheese room ensuring the maturation of cheese for at least 2 months prior to the placing on the market, his biological station cleaning and we own equipped laboratory for every day testing of milk we receive and the products we produce.

The company also is certified and authorized by the Greek Agricultural Organization ELGO "DIMITRA" (AGROCERT) to produce Protected Designation of Origin (P.D.O.) cheeses, such as Feta, Mpatzos, Kaseri and Manouri.

Current needs and requirements for quality and organic food led the company to certify the production of organic cheese and mainly BIO FETA P.D.O, using certified organic milk from the prefecture of Pella, fed exclusively with organic feed, without the use of antibiotics.
